The Firm

The Firm is a corporate, financial services and real estate boutique, specialising especially in the provision of legal advice on corporate matters and on the whole range of financial services regulation, including contentious and restructuring matters.

The Firm was established in November 2018 as a result of the spin-off of the Italian regulatory team of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer with whom the partners and senior associates have had a working relationship of more than 20 years.

Carlo Cipriani has taking part in setting up the Firm, with his 20 year experience in civil and company contentious, as well in arbitration, with the aim of promoting the field of contentious in a phase of significant growth.

Our team of market-leading regulatory professionals have experience in setting up banks, asset management companies, investment firms, insurance companies as well as financial intermediaries providing regulated services.

Notable is the experience of the Firm in advising on matters having a cross-border dimension which renders it ideally positioned to service international clients.

We advise Italian and foreign banks, asset managers, investment firms, depositaries, regulated markets, multilateral trading facilities, central counterparties, insurance companies, insurance brokers, pension funds, payment institutions offering in Italy and abroad regulated services and financial and insurance products in contentious and non-contentious matters.

Capitalising on the experience of professor Raffaele Lener as liquidator appointed by the Italian Replica Uhren resolution authorities for banks and investment firms, the Firm has developed a strong insolvency and restructuring expertise.
